Oxford Pride is delighted to announce that our 20th Anniversary Pride Day event on 3 June is moving to University Parks.
Oxford Pride Chair, Debbie Brixey said “Oxford Pride has continued to grow each year, and whilst we loved it at the Castle Quarter, we realised that we needed more space. The new site will give us the opportunity to offer more for everyone who attends and still ensure a safe and welcoming environment.”
The Pride Parade will still be going through the city centre ensuring that we have the same high visibility as we have had in previous years.
Oxford Pride is an important event that celebrates the LGBTQI+ community, brings people together and shows solidarity.
Pride is about overcoming prejudice, and hatred, reducing isolation, and showing members of the LGBTQI+ community that they are not alone.
Monthly meetings are held on the second or third Tuesday in Oxford Town Hall and online; Anyone interested in Oxford Pride is welcome to attend – please get in touch for details at secretary@oxfordpride.uk
In addition to the Oxford Pride Festival and Parade Day in June, we are hosting/co-hosting events, and encouraging venues, groups and people in and around Oxfordshire to get involved with Pride.
We are looking for people to join our organising committee that helps put on Pride Day, Oxford Pride Festival and events that support the community throughout the year.
Regardless of your background or experience, if you are interested in volunteering – we would love to hear from you! Help make Oxford Pride an event to remember!
Oxford Pride is a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, we do not have any paid staff and 100% of the money we raise goes back into the work we do and the events we put on.
