Social Media Officer

The Social Media Officer manages Oxford Pride’s social media presence, focusing on engaging the community and promoting the flagship Pride event.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Oxford Pride’s social media accounts.
  • Promote the Pride Event and other activities.
  • Build community engagement and following.
  • Ensure content reflects Oxford Pride’s brand and values.
  • Report on audience growth and engagement.

 

Skills Required

  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Ability to create engaging, inclusive content.
  • Awareness of LGBTQIA+ community issues and inclusivity.
  • Organisational skills for scheduling and monitoring engagement.

Time Commitment

  • 2–3 hours per month.
  • Additional support the day before, during, and after the Pride Event.

 

Ideal Candidate

  • Active user of social media with an eye for creative and engaging content.
  • Has experience running or supporting accounts for an organisation, campaign, or community group.
  • Enthusiastic about growing Oxford Pride’s online presence and connecting with the community.
