Dear Oxford Pride Family,
Over the last few years, we’ve loved dreaming big. We brought stages, large-scale production, and festival vibes to Oxford to celebrate our beautiful LGBTQ+ community.
But if we are being completely honest with you; trying to maintain that massive scale just isn’t sustainable for us right now. Big events come with enormous price tags and we’ve felt the financial strain.
We had to ask ourselves: What is the true heartbeat of Oxford Pride? Is it the size of the main stage, or is it the people, the visibility, and the local connections?
That’s why for Oxford Pride 2026 (Saturday, June 6th!), we are proudly going back to our roots. We are choosing intimacy, community, and sustainability. We are stripping back the heavy infrastructure to focus on what matters:
It’s free to attend this year, but we do need funding for parade road closures, accessibility, and safety. Can you chip in £5 or £10 today? Every single pound saves this year’s parade and funds 2027’s festival.
It will be a less stressful event with smaller shifts! We need friendly faces to help guide the parade.
